Mr. Juma, holds a Master's in Business Administration from University of Birmingham in the United Kingdom in 1994/1995 His journey through various key positions in both government and financial institutions has been marked by a commitment to excellence, innovation, honesty and positive transformation.

Over the years, Juma has held several positions, each contributing significantly to his experience. Notably, he served as the Principal Secretary in the Ministry of Trade and Industrial Development in 2019 through 2021and Executive Secretary Zanzibar Planning Commission in 2016 through 2019 in roles in which he demonstrated a keen understanding of macro-economic planning, dynamics and trade policies.

Juma's financial acumen came to the forefront when he assumed the role of a Deputy Governor at the Bank of Tanzania (BOT) in 2005. His visionary leadership was instrumental in initiating groundbreaking changes within the institution. Notably, Juma spearheaded the introduction of the Financial Stability Unit, Championed BOT digital reforms to make it paperless office and introduced balanced score card as a planning methodology in 2005 through 2015. He also established and served at the Zanzibar Institute of Financial Administration Zanzibar as the Director from 1998 through 2005.
